How do I restrict users from scheduling or cancelling within a certain time frame?

Limiting parameters can be set for scheduling or cancelling a reservation via role preferences:

  • The time frame before the scheduled flight can be restricted: Aircraft or Instructor must be scheduled X hour(s) in advance

  • The time frame for cancelling a flight can be restricted: Changes/Cancellations must occur X hour(s) in advance

  • To do this, navigate to Settings > General > Users

  • Under Users, navigate into Roles & Permissions and select the role to set with these parameters

  • On the right-hand side of the role, click edit and navigate to the preferences.

  • Under preferences, select which activity types you want users with this role to be able to schedule.

  • Scheduling Options parameters can be set to restrict scheduling notice

    • Allow users to schedule no more than X day(s) in advance

    • Aircraft must be scheduled at least X hour(s) in advance

    • Instructors must be schedule at least X hour(s) in advance

  • Cancellations parameters can be set to restrict how close to the reservation time the user can cancel the reservation

    • Changes/Cancellation must occur X hour(s) in advance

    • Require Cancellation Reason: Yes/No
