Log and Report on Checkride Exams

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Checkride and Knowledge Test functionality allows your school to log and track official FAA exam attempts for Part 61 and Part 141 courses. Once enabled, exam results can be viewed at the course level and aggregated in a centralized Checkride and Knowledge Test Tracking report.

Step by Step

Enable Checkrides and Knowledge Tests for a Course

To enable either exams for a course, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Curriculum > Courses.

  2. Click Edit next to the course for which you want to enable logging.

  3. Make sure the course Regulation is set to “USA Part 61” or “USA Part 141.”

  4. Scroll to the Course Structure section.

  5. Toggle Checkride and/or Knowledge Tests to ON.

    • Note: You can enable Checkrides and Knowledge Tests for existing Live courses that already contain enrollments.

    • Note: You can also indicate whether your school has Examining Authority for this course which will alter when a Checkride can be logged.

  6. If enabling Knowledge Test, you can further indicate which test codes you want to enable. You can select more than one, for example if this course earned a CFI certificate, you will want to enable both FIA and FOI test codes.

  7. Click Save to update the course. A Checkride and Knowledge Test option will now be available as an Exam option for the course.
