This article will explain all about Units of Measure (UoM) and how to use them within Inventory Hub.
Units of Measure allow you to quickly indicate how you stock your parts. UoM's is largely for display purposes at this time, but will be further expanded with Purchase Order capabilities coming soon!
Viewing UoM
You can view the list of active and inactive UoM by going to Settings > Inventory Hub > Units of Measure. You can rearrange the order of UoM, and you can set a default which will be used when creating new stock records.
Adding a UoM
You can add new UoM by clicking 'Add Unit of Measure'. You must enter a Name and Abbreviation in order to save. You should choose a unique abbreviation to ensure no confusion might arise. It must also be 3 or fewer characters.
Edit a UoM
You can edit any existing UoM to change the name or abbreviation to your liking.
Selecting a UoM
You can select a UoM when editing a part, or when creating one from scratch. A UoM must be the same across all stock records. If you stock the same part with different UoM, you will need to create two parts.
