Prerequisites
- A Payrix account is required to use payment links since an end user can only pay via online payment methods (CC keyed/stored and/or e-check).
- At least one role type must have the permission to make purchases on account. This is the permission that allows account balances to go negative.
- CC (keyed/stored) and/or e-check must be enabled in Settings > Billing Hub > Payment Methods.
Description
Payment links are adding due dates and optional auto pay functionality to billed invoices. In addition, billed invoices and statements will contain a URL where the user can pay the outstanding invoice(s) and users will have a new dashboard widget previewing their outstanding invoices and due dates.
Step by Step
- Navigate to Settings > Billing Hub > Payment Links
- Toggle Enable Payment Links to Yes
- Set default due date for any new invoice created after payment links is enabled. This can be edited on an invoice by invoice basis if needed.
- Updating the default due date will only update any invoice created after the change, it will not change past due dates. For bulk options for updating the due date, see the AR Center bulk actions.
- Choose if you would like the invoices to be auto paid utilizing the users primary payment method on file (CC keyed/stored or e-check) when it reaches the due date and the user has not paid their outstanding invoice.
- Toggle Automatically email receipt after payment to yes. We suggest having this setting on, as users who have their card charged by auto payment should receive a receipt letting them know what the charge was for.
- Save
