How to Enable Discovery Flights

Prerequisites

1. Setup your discovery flight(s) option(s) as products and services in Settings > Billing Hub > Products and Services > Add New or Edit existing. 
2. Ensure the product and services are named what you would like the public users to see.
3. Ensure the descriptions of the products and services are set. Users will see this when selecting a discovery flight for purchase. 
   • Note: You may have multiple packages or offerings for a user to choose from.

Description

The discovery flight feature gives users without access to Flight Schedule Pro to purchase a single product and service item with a credit card online via a unique URL created in FSP for your organization. A pending user account is created and can be approved when/if needed. 

Step by Step

1. Settings > Billing Hub > Discovery Flight Preferences > Edit
2. Toggle Enabled to Yes
3. Select with location should be displayed on the invoice.
   1. It is okay if the scheduling location ends up being different. This is for invoice based reporting. 
4. If using Quickbooks, select a generic Discovery Flights User. Users that purchase a discovery flight are not yet FSP users and do not have a QBO user created or mapped. If this is left blank then the QBO syncs will error because they do not have a QBO user mapped. 
5. Search and select all applicable discovery flight, scenic flights or tour flight packages your organization offers. 
6. Open the Discovery Flight Page link via the preview discovery flights. If everything looks good, this URL can be placed on your website, emails, marketing materials or where you see fit. 
7. Save. 

Permission Needed

Manage Company Settings is needed to access the discovery flight preferences.
