Processing a return may sometimes be necessary to reverse a transaction. Here's how to do them!
First, click on the Billing tab on the left side of your screen:
Next, locate the invoice you want to return. When you locate the invoice, click Actions>Return/Refund:
A return screen will pop up and will show you the items sold to the customer. You may delete certain items if you do not want to return all of them by clicking on the garbage can icon, or you can edit the line item and modify the quantity to be returned by clicking on the pencil icon as well:
Note: At this time, you may only modify the quantity column when editing a return line item, prices cannot be edited:
Once you review your return items, click the red Return button:
Next will the the page where you finalize the transaction. The payment method may be chosen for you by default, or you may choose the payment method by selecting one at the top of the window:
You may also opt to return to more than one payment method. To do this, click each additional payment method you want to use to return funds (example, the return defaults to the credit card used, but you also want to return half the funds to their account). You will then be able to modify the amount returned to each payment method. Once that is done, select Complete Return:
Note that all funds on the return must be accounted for in a payment method, matching the total amount on the return line item:
