Lesson Scheduling Templates
Lesson Scheduling Templates allow operators to define lesson requirements and apply them to lesson in bulk. This saves set up time when may lessons have similar requirements. To create or manage templates go to Settings>Training Hub>Lesson Scheduling Templates
Step 1: Click Add Template
Step 2: Define template name and define whether it is active or not. Marking a template as inactive will remove the template from the active list and it will remove it from the options to select on a lesson, it will not affect existing lessons using the template.
Step 3: Lesson details
- Define the Activity Type to be used
- Define Event Type Ground or Flight
- If Flight is selected - Define the Flight Type (dual or solo) and Route Type (Local or Cross Country)
- Select if an Instructor is required (Instructors are drawn from the Instructors assigned to the student on the enrolment record or Check instructors defined on the course if the lesson is marked as a stage check)
Step 4: Aircraft Requirements
Aircraft available for the event can be defined by:
- Individual tail numbers. The use case for this is very limited, it is recommended to select aircraft by scheduling group or make/model so if aircraft are added or removed the lesson will not need to be edited.
- Aircraft Scheduling groups. Note: If the toggle for manual tail assignment is selected, you will only be able to select groups that are set to allow for manual tail assignment see Scheduling Groups.
- Aircraft Make & Model
- Aircraft Category & Class
- Additional aircraft requirements
Example: Selecting Make/Model of Cessna 172 and additional requirements of 141 and IFR Certified will result in the scheduling tool using any C172 that is also both 141 and IFR certified while ignoring any aircraft that to not match the criteria
Step 5: Session Times
- Define Event Duration if ground or Instructor Pre/Post and Flight duration if flight
- Define time of day requirements: Day/Night/Any.
Step 6: Apply Template to lessons
- Select a course
- Check lessons you wish to apply the template to
