Send Flights to Your LogTen Pilot Logbook

When a flight is checked in through Flight Schedule Pro, a new flight is automatically created in LogTen for relevant pilots.

Step by Step

  1. Open a reservation on which you are listed as the Instructor or Member / Customer.

  2. Check the flight out.

  3. Log a training session, if applicable.

  4. Check the flight in. A new flight is created in LogTen for the first customer and for the instructor listed on the reservation.

Considerations

  • No matter who checks the flight in, reservation details are automatically sent to LogTen electronic logbooks for relevant pilots listed on the reservation and/or the training session.

    • A pilot has to have a LogTen account connected to their Flight Schedule Pro account for the flight automation to work. See Manage Your Automatic LogTen Account for more information about obtaining and managing your logbook.

  • If a training session is logged for the reservation, then that reservation is considered complete for the purposes of a logbook entry.

    • If you are the customer listed on the reservation, then your flight will be locked from being editable in LogTen.

  • If a training session is scheduled but not logged for the reservation, then the assumption is that the training session will be logged in the near future. Therefore, a flight is created in LogTen, but no flight time is sent yet.

  • If a training session is logged after the flight has been checked in, then the existing LogTen flight is updated with training session information.

  • Information from training sessions in Draft status is not sent to LogTen.

  • If no training session is scheduled or logged on the reservation, then the instruction times entered on the Check-In view are sent to LogTen.

  • If more than one training session is logged for a reservation, then:

    • Training time from both sessions is added to the same flight for both the instructor and customer.

    • Airport information from the first logged training session is sent to LogTen.

  • If the flight is deleted in Flight Schedule Pro, then the corresponding LogTen flight is also deleted for all pilots listed on the reservation.

  • If the instructor listed on the training session is different than the one listed on the reservation, then:

    • A LogTen flight is created for both instructors.

    • The LogTen flight for the instructor listed on the training session is the only one that contains flight hours.

  • The LogTen app is available only for Mac or iOS devices.

Data Mapping

When a flight is sent from Flight Schedule Pro to LogTen, the following data is automatically mapped based on your role.

Note: Fields with an asterisk are sent only if a training session was logged for the flight. See Log student training sessions for more information about logging a training session.
