When we update the End User License Agreement or Legal Notices, an Updated Policy window appears the next time you sign in. You have to accept it before you can get into Flight Schedule Pro.
If the checkbox and the Continue button look greyed out, nothing is broken. You just need to open both documents first. This article shows you how.
Symptoms
An Updated Policy window blocks you at sign in.
The checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the End User License Agreement and Legal Notices" will not check.
The Continue button is pale blue and does not respond.
Red asterisks sit next to End User License Agreement and Legal Notices.
A note reads: "* Please click each link above to review before accepting."
Cause
The agreement is a legal document. We need to confirm you had a chance to read it.
So, the window stays locked until you open both links. Once you open one, its red asterisk turns into a green checkmark. Open both, and the checkbox unlocks.
Solution
1. Open the End User License Agreement
Click the blue End User License Agreement link. It opens in a new browser tab.
Review it, then come back to the Flight Schedule Pro tab.
2. Confirm the green checkmark
The red asterisk next to End User License Agreement turns into a green checkmark.
3. Open the Legal Notices
Click the blue Legal Notices link. Review it, then return to the Flight Schedule Pro tab.
4. Confirm the second green checkmark
Both links now show green checkmarks. The reminder note about clicking each link disappears. The checkbox is now active.
5. Check the box
Click the checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the End User License Agreement and Legal Notices."
The Continue button turns solid dark blue.
6. Click Continue
You land in Flight Schedule Pro. You are done.
Verify it worked
You reach your dashboard, and the Updated Policy window does not come back on your next sign in.
Common issues
The links do not open. Your browser is probably blocking pop-ups. Look for a blocked pop-up icon in the address bar and allow pop-ups for Flight Schedule Pro. You can also right-click each link and choose "Open link in new tab."
I opened both links, and the checkmarks are still red. Refresh the page and open the links again. If your browser opened them in a background tab that never finished loading, the click may not have registered.
I clicked the checkbox, and Continue is still greyed out. Confirm both links show green checkmarks. If one is still a red asterisk, that document has not been opened yet.
Nothing works after a refresh. Try a different browser, or an incognito or private window. A stale cached session can hold onto the old state.
Every user at my school sees this window. That is expected. The update applies to every account. Each person accepts it once on their own sign in. Accepting for your school does not clear it for anyone else.
Who needs to accept
Everyone who signs in. Owners, admins, instructors, students, and maintenance users each accept the update on their own account.
Accepting does not change your data, your schedule, or your settings.
