You may notice that when you are billing a reservation to a customer, someone else's name automatically populates in the customer field. This happens when the intended customer is part of a people group that has a setting activated to bill certain activity types to the group owner, rather than the customer assigned to the reservation. The good news is, there is a very easy way to fix it!
First, you want to check for the name of the people group your customer is a part of. To do this, go to the People Tab on the left side of your screen and search for the customer who was on the reservation:
Once on their user profile, select Account Settings>Edit Profile:
Locate the Add to Group Field. This will identify the people group you want to check:
Next, return to the People tab, and select the radial button next to Groups:
You can search for the group name, or you can simply locate it in your list and select the View button:
Once on the Group page, select Group Settings, then select Edit:
To remove all activity types from this field, simply click on the "x" on the right side of the box and then save your changes:
To reduce the number of activity types selected, click on the box, uncheck the boxes as desired, then select Apply:
Then save your changes:
Now, you can go back and bill the customer on the reservation and the customer's name will automatically populate in the customer field instead of the group owner!
